About
Rajmal Jat is presently working at Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Pune. Rajmal Jat
completed his PhD in 2021 from the Department of Civil Engineering (Environmental Engg.
Group) at Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. His PhD research work was aimed to
thoroughly investigate air quality across India during the winter season using the Weather
Research and Forecasting model coupled with Chemistry (WRF-Chem) and to address the role
of different sources in air pollution for better informing policy decisions. Previously, he did his
M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering and Management in 2010 from Indian Institute of
Technology, Kanpur. His research interest is mainly in investigating the issues of air pollution
using air quality modeling studies.
