1. Past Weather and Air Quality Observation: The air quality over Delhi was in Moderate category with CPCB AQI 154 at 4 PM on 14.05.2026. Very Light Rain/Drizzle occurred at isolated places over Delhi. There has been a slight rise in maximum temperatures by 1-2°C and a fall in minimum temperatures by 2-5°C during the past 24 hours over Delhi. The maximum temperatures were in the range of 39-41°C, and the minimum temperatures were in the range of 24-26°C, respectively, over the past 24 hours in Delhi. The minimum temperatures are below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at a few places, above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at isolated places, and normal (-1.5°C to 1.5°C) at the remaining parts over Delhi. The maximum temperatures are normal (-1.5°C to 1.5°C) at most places over Delhi. Mainly clear sky with surface wind speeds up to 20 kmph gusting to 48 kmph from the southwest direction over Delhi during the past 24 hours. Mainly clear sky with surface wind speeds up to 14 kmph is likely to prevail from the west-southwest direction over the region in the forenoon today.
2. Mainly clear sky becoming partly cloudy sky towards afternoon/evening. Possibility of thundery development towards evening/night. The maximum temperatures over Delhi are likely to be in the range of 40°C to 42°C. The maximum temperatures will be above normal (1.5°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Delhi. The predominant surface wind is likely to be from the northwest direction with surface wind speed reaching up to 15 kmph during the afternoon hours. The wind speed will decrease up to 10 kmph from the north direction during the evening and night on 15.05.2026. Mainly clear sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures over Delhi are likely to be in the range of 40°C to 42°C and 23°C to 25°C, respectively. The predominant surface wind is likely to be from the northeast direction with surface wind speed reaching up to 10 kmph during the morning hours. The wind speed will increase becoming less than 15 kmph from northwest direction during the afternoon. The wind speed will be up to 15 kmph from the northwest direction during the evening and night on 16.05.2026. Mainly clear sky. Strong surface winds speed 20-30 kmph occasionally gusting to 40 kmph during the day. The maximum and minimum temperatures over Delhi are likely to be in the range of 41°C to 43°C and 24°C to 26°C, respectively. The minimum temperature will be below normal (1.5°C to 3.0°C) at most places, and maximum temperatures will be above normal (1.5°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Delhi. The predominant surface wind is likely to be from the northwest direction with wind reaching up to 15 kmph during the morning hours. The surface wind speed will increase, reaching up to 25 kmph from the northwest direction during the afternoon. The wind speed will be up to 25 kmph from the northwest direction during the evening and night on 17.05.2026. Mainly clear sky. Strong surface winds speed 20-30 kmph occasionally gusting to 40 kmph during the day. The maximum and minimum temperatures over Delhi are likely to be in the range of 42°C to 44°C and 25°C to 27°C, respectively. The minimum temperature will be near normal (-1.5°C to 1.5°C) at most places, and the maximum temperature will be appreciably above normal 3.1°C to 5.0°C) over Delhi. The predominant surface wind is likely to be from the west direction with wind reaching up to 30 kmph during the morning hours. The surface wind speed will be up to 30 kmph from the west direction during the afternoon. The surface wind speed will be less than 25 kmph from the west direction during the evening and night on 18.05.2026.
3. Predicted maximum mixing depth is likely to be 4700m on 15.05.2026, 5300m on 16.05.2026, 5200m on 17.05.2026, and 4400m on 18.05.2026 over Delhi. Ventilation index is likely to be more than 30000m2/s on 15.05.2026, 30000m2/s on 16.05.2026, 30000m2/s on 17.05.2026, and 30000m2/s on 18.05.2026 over Delhi.
