 Air Quality and Weather Bulletin for Delhi (10.12.2025)

1. Past Weather and Air Quality Observation: The air quality over Delhi was in Poor category with CPCB AQI 282 at 4 PM on 09.12.2025. There has been a fall in maximum temperatures by 1°C and rise in minimum temperatures by 1-2°C over Delhi during the past 24 hours.  The maximum and minimum temperatures over Delhi were around 23 to 26°C and 09 to 10°C, respectively. The minimum temperatures are below normal (-1.6 to -3.0°C) at isolated places and normal (-1.5 to 1.5°C) over remaining parts of Delhi. The maximum temperatures were normal (-1.5 to 1.5°C) at many places, below normal (-1.6 to -3.0°C) at isolated places and above normal (1.6 to 3.0°C) at isolated places over Delhi. Smoke was reported at Safdarjung Airport. Mainly clear sky conditions with predominant surface wind from the west direction with a wind speed up to 18 kmph prevailed during the past 24 hours. Mainly clear sky conditions with wind from the southwest direction with a wind speed up to 10 kmph prevailed over the region in the forenoon today.

2. Mainly clear sky. Mist/Haze during Night. The maximum temperatures are likely to be in the range of 23 to 25°C. The maximum temperatures will be near normal over Delhi. The predominant surface wind is likely to be from the northwest direction with wind speeds up to 15 kmph during the afternoon hours. The wind speed will decrease becoming less than 10 kmph from the northwest direction during the evening and night on 10.12.2025. Mainly clear sky. Shallow fog during morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures over Delhi are likely to be in the range of 23 to 25°C and 07 to 09°C respectively.  The minimum temperatures will below normal (-1.6 to -3.0) and the maximum temperatures will be near normal over Delhi. The predominant surface wind is likely to be from the northwest direction with wind speeds up to 10 kmph during morning hours. The wind speed will remain same upto 10 kmph from the northwest direction in the afternoon. The wind speed will decrease, becoming less than 05 kmph from the west direction during the evening and night on 11.12.2025. Partly cloudy sky. Shallow fog during morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures over Delhi are likely to be in the range of 23 to 25°C and 07 to 09°C respectively. The minimum temperatures will be near normal and the maximum temperatures will be above normal (upto 2°C) over Delhi. The predominant surface wind is likely to be from the west direction associated with calm wind speeds reaching up to 05 kmph during morning hours.  The wind speed will increase becoming up to 12 kmph from the northwest direction in the afternoon. The wind speed will decrease, becoming less than 05 kmph from the northeast direction during the evening and night on 12.12.2025. Partly cloudy sky. Shallow fog during morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures over Delhi are likely to be in the ranges of 22 °C to 24 °C and 08 °C to 10°C, respectively. The minimum temperatures above normal (upto 2°C) and the maximum temperatures will be near normal over Delhi. The predominant surface wind is likely to be from the southeast direction associated with calm wind speed reaching up to 05 kmph during the morning hours.  The wind speed will remain same up to 05 kmph from the southeast direction in the afternoon. The predominant surface wind is likely to be from the east direction associated with calm wind gradually increasing up to 05 kmph during the evening and night on 13.12.2025.

3. Predicted maximum mixing depth is likely to be 1100 m on 10.12.2025, 1000 m on 11.12.2025, 800 m on 12.12.2025, and 900 m on 13.12.2025 over Delhi. Ventilation index is likely to be 6500 m2/s on 10.12.2025, 4000 m2/s on 11.12.2025, 800 m2/s on 12.12.2025 and 800 m2/s on 13.12.2025 over Delhi. The ventilation index lower than 6000 m2/s with average wind speed less than 10 kmph is unfavourable for dispersion of pollutants.

4. The air quality is likely to be in the Poor category on 10.12.2025. The air quality is likely to be in the Very Poor category from 11.12.2025 to 13.12.2025. The outlook for the subsequent 6 Days: The air quality is likely to be in the Very Poor category.
